We were introduced to this fantastic Canadian charitable organization through our friend
Tom Mason from the Toronto Zoo. He has been actively involved in both fundraising and
research involving amphibians in the South American rainforests. We are proud to donate
funds
from all of our educational live animal presentations for the next six months.
For every $250 contribution, COTERC is able to purchase 1/4 acre of rainforest next to their
Cano Palma Research Station in Costa Rica. If you would like to help us make a difference by either
booking a live animal presentation or making a donation, please click on your preference below!
What is COTERC?
The Canadian Organization for Tropical Education and Rainforest Conservation (COTERC)

in Pickering, Ontario, Canada. Founded in 1991, COTERC operates in both Canada and
Costa Rica. In Canada, their Board of Directors are biologists, accountants, educators,
environmentalists, zoo professionals, media professionals -- all committed and
working actively to protect tropical rainforests. In Costa Rica, they are based at the
Caño Palma Biological Station. The mission of the Canadian Organization for Tropical Education
and Rainforest Conservation is to provide leadership in education, research,
conservation,
and the educated use of natural resources in the tropics.
Animal Adoptions
Naked Mole Rat Productions is involved with the symbolic adoption of many animals in various
zoological
parks around the world. As a member of these different zoos, Phil adopts
endangered animals and provides financial support to help care for and maintain these
unique species.
If you wish to join us in any of these endevours, let us know the animal
you're interested in adopting and we can let you know what it will cost for a one year
sponsorship
program.
All adoptions will come with an acknowledgement certificate, and
we can even
provide actual
photos and personal stories about raising and caring for
many of these animals
ranging from
porcupines, to tigers, snakes to baboons and
many more.
We can set up a fund
to help you
reach your target amount. We're also
set up to help you with fund raising efforts
so you can pick
a larger adoption proceed
for those animals that zoos care for and display
for us to enjoy
year round.
Contact us at zootours@hotmail.com and we can get started with your support
efforts to help maintain and improve the lives of those things we care
so much about;
the animals and our natural world.
